My life-long love of creating gifts for family and friends has led me to embark on this adventure. I have always enjoyed working with my hands and bringing ideas to life, from miniature models to full-sized furniture pieces.

I’ve been told that my artistic abilities were inherited from my great-grandmother, a beautiful artist and painter. While I don't draw, if you give me some wood, paper, fabric, scissors, glue, thread, or ribbon, I am ready for my ideas to set sail.

Speaking of setting sail, I grew up spending a lot of time on the lakes of Minnesota. My dad loved all things water, especially sailing, so the name Sail Away Crafts felt like a nice way to embrace our shared love of water and sailboats.

What I love the most is seeing the smile on someone’s face when they receive a unique gift created with them in mind.
